When I was 11 years old, I was diagnosed with a rare, incurable eye disease, which would continually take more of my vision over time.  At that tender age, my life’s course was changed FOREVER!  Or, so I thought. . .

Now, in my early 30’s, I realize that even though many of my plans were derailed because of that fateful day in the doctor’s office, there are many dreams I have realized.  My life may look different (no pun intended) from the one I imagined as a little girl, but for the most part, it’s not too far off.
